14th - 18th June 2010
EUROSATORY, Paris
PROCITEC's first independent exhibition presence at the biggest and most important defence technology exhibition in Europe focussed on improving PROCITEC's perception and positioning as a global player, and was appropriately set on a newly designed representational joint booth with several partners (e.g. PLATH, RENK AG, and others) covering 165 square meters across two floors.
Visitors were impressed by the software solutions presented, demonstrating our company's expertise and capacity for technological innovation in the field of signal analysis. PROCEED, a software package for signal analysis, demodulation and decoding, particularly stood out by its capacity to develop decoders by use of the Decoder Description Language provided for this purpose. Most convincing as well were the functions of our broadband recording software WiRAS where visitors particularly pointed out the technology novelty of its export function, enabling to cut and send radio emissions to other tools for further processing.
PROCITEC's CEO Michael Brenk, very satisfied with the performance, said: "We were able to make new contacts and to convince our signed customers once again of both PROCITEC'S leadership ability and the quality of our software solutions in the field of digital signal processing."

New Product: Voice Activity Processor (VAP)
The Voice Activity Processor (VAP) is PROCITEC's solution to the challenges of speech signal detection in strategic and tactical radio reconnaissance systems. VAP enables multi-channel detection, recording, processing and transcription of both analogue (AM and FM) and digital speech signals.
The compact system VAP uses current server technology from the receiver control, to the detection, demodulation and recording of the speech signals, up to their evaluation, offering all the functionalities relevant to one's mission. The most outstanding features are the configurable simultaneous recording of the raw signal and the demodulated speech as well as a full-fledged transcription workplace with an extensive access right concept based on roles and users. In the process, single frequencies and frequency lists are monitored by the user either manually or fully automatically according to parameterised jobs.
VAP is a joint product of PROCITEC GmbH and innoSysTec GmbH, which bundles the competences of both enterprises in the fields of signal processing and content evaluation. The system is distributed internationally in the PLATH Group by PLATH GmbH.

Unobtrusive Yet Successful Neighbours
Michael Brenk is just the type of businessperson Reiner Müller wants. With his PROCITEC GmbH, a company specialised in software to detect and process civilian and military radio signals, 46-year-old Michael Brenk is Müller's showcase example when it comes to Innotec, Pforzheim's technology and founder centre. Founded in 1999 as a sole trader business, PROCITEC now employs 35 engineers and scientists, and supplies not only customers among the police, the military, administrations, and coast surveillance, but increasingly from the automotive industry buying PROCITEC's production measurement technology. "The latter is our great white hope", says Managing Director Michael Brenk who has now left Innotec and is aiming for a turnover of 4.2 million Euros this year.

Successful With Signalling
PROCITEC, the creative hotbed for software is expanding and relocates to premises outside Innotec but remains in the same building
Business in information technology is not what it used to be – so one should think. However, they do exist, those small-scale and medium-sized businesses, which found their highly profitable niches. A prime example is software specialist PROCITEC who rented 800 square meters of office space on Blücherstrasse 32. This is twice the space they had in the premises previously rented in the Innotec Innovation Centre.
Founded only in December 1999 as a sole trader business by Michael Brenk together with the Hamburg-based Plath GmbH, a radio reconnaissance company, PROCITEC now has 22 employees, mainly computer scientists, physicists, and mathematicians. Three or even four IT specialists are to join the team before the end of the year…

"The Company Is Doing Well"
Success was forcing PROCITEC to move into larger premises
In times of devastating economic news, it is always a good reason to be pleased when a business expands to an extent where it needs new premises. As it is the case for the software start-up PROCITEC of Pforzheim. Founded in 1999 by Managing Director Michael Brenk, PROCITEC moved into a small office at the Innotec Centre in February 2000, and relocated to new spacious premises in the same building on Blücherstrasse early this year. "Such expansion tells me this business is doing well", is the delighted comment of Lady Mayor Christel Augenstein…
